Bryce Corporation is proud to announce the receipt of a 2009 Greener Package Award for its one third compostable snack bag for Frito Lay's SunChips brand. In conjunction with Frito Lay, Bryce Corporation developed a commercial package that contains polylactic acid (PLA), a material produced from sugars derived from certain plant crops.

The introduction of this package in April 2009 was the first in a series of SunChips brand redesigns that will showcase Bryce's renewably-sourced packaging components.

The Greener Package Awards are organized and selected by Greener Package (www.greenerpackage.com), an online sustainable-packaging knowledge exchange from the publisher of Packaging World Magazine.
